Has anyone seen a spring roster? Hopefully the Victory Bell will provide some coverage. Yesterday was junior day and it seems like we had a good turnout.
I’m not entirely sure if a spring roster will be announced until the actual spring game? I think I heard that high FBS level schools are shying away from spring games because it leads to players realizing their backups then enter the portal. However, I don’t think schools like Valpo will have this issue. Also, most everyone stayed other than big time transfers. I’m excited for Valpo to have an OC again… Junior day seemed to go well.
I don't think a spring roster has ever been placed online and is available only at the game itself in physical form.
Of course this is a new staff so maybe it will be different.
I think spring roster was posted one time. I sent some messages to some people in the know who’s on the roster. Portal is a big issue post spring for everyone at all levels. Good thing no one usually transfers up on spring film alone, many usually quit or drop down.
My guess is it will be pretty limited coverage from now until fall. Paul had the full spring roster once or twice on the VB. I think this is something that Landon shied away from sharing towards the end.
Defense will be brand new next season outside of Morris/Fowler/Lendino/Samuel big senior class on that side.
Offensively Florence likes his QBs to set and throw. It’ll be an adjustment from what we’ve seen. Mansaray is RB1. Rest of offense maybe even QB is anyone’s guess

Seems like a short roster to me.
Interesting that Evan Matthes is listed as RB coach/specialists coach. It's not odd for a coach to coach a position he didn't play or even the side of the ball he played on but this one just seems weird.
Also, the coach who caused all of the consternation regarding qualifications earlier is nowhere to be found...at least in writing.
Yeah, I counted around 70ish. According to TVB, Coach Waddle mentioned that like 12 players will be held out because of injury.

injured players not listed. Believe I have very close to the 110 roster.
few thoughts
- Francassi (EMU) , Melchiori and Koonce (Marietta), excited to see these guys and if we will have any difference makers at receiver
-MLB is probably the biggest Question mark on roster. Wonder who lines up there (I could see Micah Markley starting as a true w offer list and IFS)
-OL , do we look functional?
- QB, Waddle has had several interviews and made it abundantly clear they are competing. Tyler is less of a thrower than a Florence offense saw at Marietta
overall , having about 75-80 upper classmen and 70 healthy enough to play is a nice win for Valpo. Waddle has given us a lot of information in a few interviews.
