Let’s get this one started a little earlier than half way through the game 😀
Indiana State was very much a pre-season unknown — an almost total replacement of coaches and players. Yet, here they are tied for 2nd in the Valley with a 3-1 record and a 9-6 overall record.
This ought be another good one at the ARC. Hope the faithful turn out.

Would love to have this one before a couple of tough road games. I said before the UNI game we were due for a bad game and thought we’d lose big— well maybe our floor has moved up, especially at home.

I'm trying to get in touch with some students buddies of mine to get a contingent at the game. We will see how fruitful those efforts are.
I'm viewing our next 4 games (ISUb, Murray, Belmont and UIC) as a block of Valley mid-pack equals. By this stage of the season Roger Powell should have detailed opinions how we should play them and how they will attack and defend us. Knowing that we should play from our strengths thus dictating the game style I'm wondering if the Sycamores have the right players to counter? Could I be wrong in thinking that our team discipline might have advanced this far? However it works out Wednesday we have to win 2 out of these 4 and getting 3 is achievable.
Agree and I go back to FWAlum’s assessment in the UNI game string of Valpo’s more disciplined style that has emerged lately. I believe he is right and that Roger has recognized that what worked at Gonzaga doesn’t quite fit here at this point in the team’s evolution. That is a good thing. And that also speaks to our kids executing it.
So, as Paul corrected me, the students are back! Let’s hope they turn out. With Indiana State contingent, let’s hope we finally break 2000 in attendance, maybe 2500?

Indiana State gave Ohio State a much better game than we did. Some of that was ISU being unconscious from the field in the first half and a style the Bucks don't normally see. Bradley had a hard time guarding ISU as well, but Evansville kept the Sycamores in check. State is a very dangerous team and could hit 12-14 threes in the game. Lets hope we get out and contest their shooters or this will be a long game. Yes we played solid versus UNI Saturday and controlled most of the game with timely shots and excellent free throw shooting but it wasn't as if we ran them out of the gym.
Lets also hope the crowd surprises to the upside as I think Saturday's game was inaccurate count of 1,900. Do we see over 2,000?
Cooper has a huge game, Valpo 86-74
Saturday felt louder than usual recently and and fuller too. With some students and some ISU folks should be pretty good atmosphere. Momentum is a real thing. 84-80 Valpo win.
Pulled this from the ISU forum. Safe to say the goal should be to prove them wrong tomorrow

We are on the same page Ducky, expecting/hoping for 2-3 wins in the next 4 games. Amazing how times have changed so quickly, I believe we won 3 conference games all of last year. Yet our hope/expectation now is to be 4-4 or better after this next 4 game stretch. Once we get through the road game at Drake, our schedule appears to lighten up substantially. One game at a time, big one tonight!
This should be a fun game.

I bet the Rev motivates the students come out in force.

I think we see over 2,500. Lotta ISU fans in attendance
Unfortunately, it is sparse crowd. If we only had 1900 on Saturday, we half of that tonight. Students section starting to fill up, but not enough.
