"It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Connie Bretscher, our oldest alumna, who left us peacefully on Sunday, January 19 at the remarkable age of 104. Connie was a beloved member of the Valparaiso University family, having graduated in 1942 with a bachelor’s degree in music and later earning her master’s degree in education in 1971. She remained a dedicated alumna and pillar of the campus community until her final days...."

Very sorry to hear this.
She was a model for all of us in her attitude, her enthusiasm for the university, and her expression of her faith.
