Way overdue based on his accomplishments and impact in athletics. A very interesting and great career as an agent and a wonderful person representing Valpo well.
2 years ago I emailed a nomination for him, and I certainly doubt it had any impact, but I am very pleased he has finally been recognized.

Wow, as someone who went to CLHS with Gene and knew him pretty well, I never even thought of nominating him for VU Hall of Fame because his athletic accomplishments, other than being a grad assistant coach at VU, were at Purdue and then after VU Law School as an agent.
