What would we do without Shaw?
This offense makes me yearn for Matt Lottich.
I just don't get it -- what do they practice all day if they don't run an offense? If you look off the ball all you see is 4 guys standing in place and watching. Occasionally you will see a guy on the other side of the court jogging. There are no off ball screens, aggressive cuts towards the hoop, or misdirections. Its like watching a bad middle school team.
Ellis has been on the bench the whole second half.
Competitive. Bench stepped up. Rebound drills all next week?
Valpo shot 37% from three, Drake played poorly overall and shot only 28% from three and we still lose at home. We just aren’t good enough. There are no moral victories this season. There are already 2 games we should have won but couldn’t — Drake and CSU. Both at home too.
I do feel like we might at least be better than last year, tho.
Took a top-50 team to the wire. Very impressive showing.
The 28 - 11 run Drake had in first half was a large part of the loss. Good attempt to comeback, but we need to find our way out of these slumps.

Wanting a Lottich offense is the stupidest thing I’ve heard on this forum in a very long time , give us proof @vok22. We just played our best game in awhile(that might make me a Lottich simp, wait def not) Lottich and MLB WERE ONE OF the worst thing to happen Valpo athletics since the 80s, dumb dumb comment!!
Tyler Schmidt might be the best player on the team.
Hoping and praying for one player to get red hot and carry the team isn’t an offensive game plan though.
We need to figure out how to get Cooper back into things.

This 100%. Drake lost their coach and most of last years team. And they didn’t miss a beat.
In this era of college basketball, it doesn’t take 2 or 3 or 4 years to build a program. You can see immediate results.
I forget. Does Carson Schwieger have to sit out this season? Would have been interested to see him and Cooper help us with some rebounding.
Speaking of rebounding. Yikes. Thank you Kaspar Sepp for not folding!
Interesting and emotional press conference with Coach Powell. Seems to confirm Stafford is out for the year. Also, starts by stating about the program, "it's a lot of work to flip this," and about the players, "lot of things up against these guys, against us." Not sure what he is referencing there.

Shooting 19-28 from 2pt land isn’t playing that poorly. They also had 10 more rebounds and had 8 more FT attempts. Except for 3pt shooting, they played well.
We need to be better on the boards - and soon.
@valpopal I think you know what he is referencing, but I'll go ahead and say it. They most certainly read the posts on this forum. See the animosity on social media. See the MVC looking at this program as a complete joke. See the empty stands. See the fans not getting into the games and just "there"
