Interesting speculation! DeAveiro, Young and Ognacevic were all promising freshmen teammates and classmates once upon a time. Seems like that was centuries ago.
I was wrong again! Ognacevic was a freshman with Sheldon Edwards and Connor Barrett. DeAveiro and Young came in the following year.

Well, we know that it is not Sheldon Edwards, as he is not in the portal, even though he has a COVID year to utilize. His Loyola journey has likely not worked out how he hoped.

Well if its not Dilling or Newman, then I am even more excited. Context clues tell me we are the front-runner for Dilling anyway, so whatever this "huge" addition may be + an elite D2 scorer in Dilling and a starting caliber big would be the haul I was hoping for but not expecting going into the offseason.
With this much secrecy and the people "in the know" trying their hardest to keep this hush-hush, I assume we got a P6 guy with a history inthe org.

I hate to keep adding to the speculation because we are never going to guess properly, but I would like to submit a few clues. I noticed former Valpo and Arizona player Casey Jones replying to some of the speculation with the implied tone that he knows who this is, which would make sense as he’s likely still close to the program.
somebody replied to PO asking “can he shoot the three” to which Casey replied with a check mark.
somebody asked if it was Brandon Newman and he said “Much Better” (than Brandon).
If someone is much better than Brandon Newman coming to Valpo, you have me intrigued. He was a decent contributor at a solid Purdue program.
Newman, no doubt, thought he would be a star at a lower level and that proved to be false. Nice player at Western Kentucky, averaging 10 and 5. If we get someone better, I'll take it all day long. We do need a big or two!
