Yup. 16, these were the two I was alluding to. 👍🏻. 34, so far, by my count. And when the big boys are finished plundering the portal for their new xfers, there should be a few disappointed kids who might revisit Valpo.

Some clarification on Quinn Fricassi the transfer from EMU. Senior year of HS his listed, mistakenly I think, as having 22 TD receptions. He appears to be a very good prospect but he had 22 total TDs his senior season including running, throwing, returning and defensive. No matter how you look at it, it is a lot of TDs but his numbers didn't make sense if all of his TDs were receiving.

Looks like Virginia Lynchburg is part of that NCCAA grouping, and maybe NCAA D3?
VU Lynchburg should be a 40 point game if we are going to come within three scores of any PFL team..
some thoughts on the day (if cared to be read)
1) I thought this was an extremely balanced class with more legit future pieces than roster fillers which has not always been the case
2) All three QBs are pure pocket guys. Marietta’s QB was a pocket guy. Take that info as you will
3) outstanding PFL DL class. RJ does it again
4) some real gamers to expect early Donovan Dey, Xavier Gibson, Donovan Brown, Nico Downie, Billy McCool. Would expect all to play
5) LB will be the greenest position next year no question.
6) I liked the Waddle interview about recruiting. He seemed very methodical on where his talent was coming from and seems to have an ideal roster construction detailed down the positions needed per roster spot
7) this might be the best group of freshman since 2015
Just an observation that the Ohio Athletic Conference to which Marietta belongs includes not only annual powerhouse Mount Union, but also John Carroll, Baldwin-Wallace, and other good football schools. They send a regular sprinkling of talent to NFL training camps, and a number of OAC players make NFL rosters for a cup of coffee or even longer.
If the addition of Waddle is making VU competitive for some of the talent coming out of the area high schools, that's a promising sign. Lot of football talent there.
In sales there are guys who can sell on value vs guys that sell on price. Waddle has been selling on value for 20 years. I have wondered if this will help us get more of those tweeners to Valpo
@david81 John Carroll recently left the OAC.
Yes, forgot about that. I think it was just last year.
It was def an OAC school when London Fletcher played there in the late 90s.
Point being that a kid who is being recruited hard by OAC schools may well be a solid non-scholarship DI possibility as well. I think that the OAC has had a stronger record of sending players into NFL mini-camps, training camps, etc., than the Pioneer League. Mostly un-drafted free agents, but some successful draft picks as well, like Cecil Shorts and Pierre Garçon from Mount Union.
They take their football very seriously in the state!

Butler beat them 63-0 last year
