Morehead appears to be a bit down this year. We traditionally lose at Morehead. This is a must win to keep the drive for 6 alive. Probably another one score game
Our Freshman QB will only be getting more experienced as well as our acting OC
21-17 Valpo
Morehead State 24
Valpo 14
Saders 30, Phil Simms U 13
Morehead State seems to be a house of horrors for Valpo...or at least not a place for victory.
Close but no cigar and I can't see many points.
17-14 for the boys from Kentucky.
Looks like there may be some rain which might favor having Caron at QB. 69 and 83% rain. Light wind.
Valpo wins 24-20
The key is #7. Can the opposing teams stop our best player on offense. Our second best weapon is our punter. We have no margin for error so this game might come down to a key turnover. 24-23 Valpo.
I joined the festivities late. Why is Appel playing?
Edit: The above question is related both to what happened to Tyler in the first place and why is Appel still in the game based on his performance.
What I've seen offensively can only be described as pathetic.
All around not a good game from Appel...
Fox benched a fully healthy Caton tyler for Appel. After appel did not succeed went to Keefe. He’s had5 players get arrested this season, 3/5 were senior leaders.
biggest Fox supporter on this forum. It’s time to move on.
I say the above fully understanding that Fox has built a competent if not a very top tier PFL defense
He’s done good things. But I think we’ve capped out here

It's pretty apparent that Fox makes some poor choices for the offense whether it's the coordinator he chooses, having no coordinator or coordinating himself.
I'm not sure if we're supposed to relate the comment about arrests with why Tyler didn't play but I'll say this....if he benched Tyler for reasons other than a non-football reason then he's clueless. You win two in a row...even with the offense not looking spectacular doing so....and the QB is changed? That just doesn't make sense. Hopefully we'll get an answer and the answer may be a non answer. If we get "I just felt it was time for a change" I won't know what to say.
Tyler was not in the above mix. He’s a great kid by All account. Parents are mad, media is mad
Appel is brutal, and Valpo was on a roll. Who was the brainchild making this decision?

I checked myself after your comment and saw those involved and Tyler is not. I really don't get the QB change at all. Appel looked terrible. He holds on to the ball too long in the first place and threw a surefire pick six which was dropped. At least Tyler is mobile and can run.
