Win is a win. That is a top 10 NAIA program and more importantly that was a loss in the win column 2 of the last 3 years. Should help in recruiting.
Some knee jerk thoughts: our OL look proficiency - not a lot of immediate penetration after snap. Manseray/Tyler/Mann are the offense. Lots of drops in the receiving game.
defensively we have a lot of talent in the secondary. Still struggled stopping the run between the tackles (which IWU did not figure out until late).
BUT a win is a win which is better than a loss
Watched the entire game on ESPN+ though for the second half the audio was a second or two behind the video.
Good performance overall though we could have won by two touchdowns. It makes we wonder about the various classifications when a NAIA #5 fall to the Beacons. What does mean about lower NAIA team? Basically the top intermural programs? In any event, given the local rivalry, it was a good win!
A win is a win. Great turnout for the home opener. Keep packing the stands and the team might be forced to play games at Viking Field for the larger seating.
