I've enjoyed their chicken sandwiches and biscuits.

That said, definitely check out the new Louie Wingz, in the old Maria Elena's location in Hilltop! Catfish and chicken both very solid - tasty pepper rub, delicious sauce. Small family operation.

Where are they putting the Beggar's Pizza in Valpo?

EDIT:Never mind, I found it. Seems it's up on north Calumet up by El Salto's in that plaza.

It's not bad. It's a little heavier in dough and ingredients than like Gelsossamos.

Their cheese filled breadsticks are pretty good

Just tried it tonight... Hadn't had it since I went to a Sox game a year or two ago but I remembered it being pretty good.

The deep dish I had tonight was really good. Even better than I remembered, and the portions are massive. It can get a little pricey if you go for several toppings like we did (pepperoni sausage green pepper onion) but it's well worth it. True to their slogan, they really do go heavy on sauce and toppings, but the amount of ingredients used is neither excessive nor out of balance. Take this solely for what it is: one man's opinion; but I loved it and will definitely be ordering again . Probably fairly soon.

Gelsosomos has a fairly good deep dish pizza.
